Traineeships are work based training programs which combine paid employment with structured training. Trainees may attend regular off the job training that complements the skills and experience gained while on the job. Traineeships are based on industry endorsed standards and result in nationally recognised qualifications.
Traineeships are very similar to traditional Apprenticeships but are mostly completed over a shorter period. THINQ Training offers traineeships in:
- Hospitality
- Aged Care work
- Business (Frontline Management)

- Traineeships assist industry operators to raise their levels of professionalism by providing structured workplace training.
- Traineeships, by providing structured workplace training, reward both employers and most especially their employees, with nationally recognised qualifications according to the National Hospitality Industry Training Package.
- Traineeships provide structured and flexible training and are generally in-house.
- Traineeship Assessments are generally obtained on the job by industry experienced Assessors and Workplace Trainers to ensure reliability and competence.
- Traineeships are monitored by the RTO throughout the traineeship and the RTO provides a Statement of Attainment detailing modules successfully completed.
- Traineeships provide incentives to employers of up to $4000 per eligible employee.

Hospitality

Business (Frontline Management)
Enhance skills in managing people; leadership, communication and organisational skills are the essential components of successful business managers. As a Frontline Manager, learn how to be manage both your own performance and that of other employees.

THINQ Training has, over many years, developed a good reputation with industry associations, industry representatives, language colleges and other higher education providers. CEO & Managing Director John Mead had over 34 years in the Hospitality industry when he retired from that industry in 1995, and over 11 years in the Vocational Education & Training sector. All our trainers have many years of industry experience and our administration staff are experienced to ensure that all students' needs are satisfied and their learning experience exceeds their expectations. This way all students experience the tangible benefits of our quality education program.
Our Sydney administration office and training rooms are centrally located in York Street, almost on the corner of King Street, and only a few minutes walk from either Town Hall or Wynyard Railway stations, bus stops and within an easy walk of hotels, restaurants, tourist attractions and other attractions.
Specific Course information
SIT20207: Certificate II in Hospitality (Operations)
A minimum of 5 Core Elements and 6 Electives required for completion. This course enables students to gain a range of practical and theoretical skills and operational knowledge required at entry level in the hospitality industry.
SIT30707: Certificate III in Hospitality (Operations)
A minimum of 9 core Elements and 10 Electives required for completion. This course provides the skills needed to work within a number of hospitality contexts. Candidates will develop a number of skills enabling them to perform in positions such as waiter in a café/restaurant, Host in a Fine Dining Restaurant, Hotel front desk attendant.
BSB41004: Certificate IV Business (Frontline Management)
A minimum of 8 units required for completion. An excellent course for Supervisors and Managers to further their skills and abilities to implement plans, develop priorities, manage projects and lead staff.
Certificate III in Aged Care Work (CHC30102).
For a rewarding career in Aged Care working with elderly people. This course is designed for those people wishing to enter the Community Services Industry or who wish to obtain formal qualifications to progress in this field. Students learn to provide personal care to an older person, support safety procedures, provide care and support of dementia. Upon successful completion of all course requirements, successful students receive a nationally recognised Certificate.

Recognition of Prior Learning
In order to receive RPL, you need to provide written and validated proof of existing qualification and apply at the time of enrolment. It is the applicant’s responsibility to lodge all requests for RPL no later than 30 days prior to commencing the program (or upon application for enrolment if submitted within 30 days of course commencement). The application must include types of evidence that may assist with the application such as copies of qualifications attained, statements of employment, or examples of work completed. Please refer to THINQ Training's RPL Policy.
Terms and conditions
By signing the THINQ Training’s enrolment from, you are agreeing to abide by the following enrolment conditions.
- THINQ Training requires students to attend a minimum of 80% attendance.
- All courses offered by THINQ Training are subject to entry requirements. International students are required to meet the English and academic requirements as set out in each course outline, and may need to undergo an English skills interview before enrolment.
- All students are required to meet the academic requirements as set out in the course outline.
- Students are responsible for the safe keeping of any personal items whilst at THINQ Training.
- Timetables and course structures are subject to change at any time without notice.
- Students should respect the rights of other students and trainers and actively contribute to a constructive learning environment.
- Student should understand that they are governed by both the educational goals of THINQ Training and the laws of Australia.
- A student who completes a course but has not paid all the fees for that course will not be issued with their transcripts or qualifications until such monies have been paid in full.
